About Us
Stellenbosch Flying Club was established in 1971 in collaboration with the University of Stellenbosch Flying Club (USFC) with a history dating as far back as 1965.
SFC is situated in the heart of the winelands of Southern Africa. Through the years it advanced to one of the most prestige flying clubs in the country, with much to offer - from flight training for student pilots to Commercial pilot training.
SFC has its own infrastructure of: 863 Meter tar-surfaced runway with landing lights and taxi-ways, 60 hangars housing some 105 Aircraft , maintenance facilities operated by 'Stellair', fire-fighting operation, fueling station and a well equipped
club-house - catering for the many flying events organised by the committee and members of the club as well as social gatherings for club-members and guests.
