Erika initiated the involvement of the former Bloemfontein Transitional Local Council in the development of the South-eastern Urban Sector of Bloemfontein while she was employed by the Bloemfontein Transitional Local Council. This was how she became involved in town planning assignments in Mangaung in 1993. She is well known for her community work and was actively involved in the formulation of LDOs for urban and rural areas in the Free State. She also assisted with the formalisation of 15 informal settlements in Mangaung and was appointed as project manager for the Consortium of Town and Regional Planners (Plan³ Consortium) for the NER (National Electrification Regulator) Project.
Erika was voted President of the South African Planning Institution (SAPI) during 2000. She served as Chairman of the Free State and Northern Cape Region from 1996 – 1998 and Vice-President of SAPI since 1998.
She is actively involved in environmental conservation and serves on numerous bodies (e.g. the Friends of the Franklin Nature Reserve). She is also a member of the International Association for Impact Assessment of South Africa (IAIA).
Erika accepts the challenges of her profession whole-heartedly and is committed to service excellence.

Manie van Wyk B.Sc | M.sc (Environmental Management)
|
Manie van Wyk joined the company during March 1999 after finishing a B.Sc Degree and a Masters Degree in Environmental Management (M.Sc). He specialises in Environmental Scoping and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
He has a keen interest in the physical environment and the careful conservation, sensitive utilisation and responsible management thereof and specialises in bio-diversity and bio-monitoring.

At least one student/ graduate is employed for the whole/ part of the period of their internship. Although students of all academic backgrounds are considered for the position, the ideal candidate is a Urban and Regional Planning or Environmental Management graduate who will benefit more from the experience obtained by working for the firm.

Other professionals are commissioned as and where required to provide expert input.
