Dave Verwoerd ended up in 5th position at the end of the 1997 season. The clubman class finished very close with Dave finishing with 92 points.This photo is taken at the popular Umhlanga Rocks Street Race, hosted by the city every March. Dave races a PCR kart. |

Paul Fenton (who's kart I now own), seen here going through the S-Bend at Umhlanga Rocks. The kart is an ALLKART with a Yamaha 125cc Gearbox engine. Paul has won many races including Umhlanga. |

Peter Corkin, 125cc Clubman rep and placed 2nd overall in 1997. Peter races a PCR - Yamaha (and works for Yamaha) kart and is in close battle with Warren Hornsey at the top of the log. |

Warren Hornsey, 1st overall in Natal in the 125 Clubman class with a total of 183 points. Warren races a MAC kart. The Clubman class is restricted to use Maxxis tyres with a max weight including driver of 175kg or 387.5lb. The engine must be 2yrs or older, for more specs click on here. |

Scott Falconer in the 125 GP kart, here at Idube. Scott and Cale are were at the top of the points log for 1997, and should be for 1998. |

Cale Basing also in a 125 GP kart was in top form for 1997 and ended up first in the points. Scott Falconer was out of the first regional race, making it a close finish. |
