Knave's King
KELLAR
1992

A long time ago in a land far away
A man built a castle
He made the walls solid stone
thick and strong
To keep out the people

While wars rages around him and people wept
Never the drawbridge was lowered to a guest
Never a crust of bread offered to a blind
He lived alone

A great famine came over the land
From the Norh to the South no rain came down
Many begged him from the outside
Just one sack of flour could keep my child alive
But the man was a statue
He was cold
And in his heart he began to grow old
He felt the cold

A sad troubadour came a-singing
A lalala la leley leyley lala
This touched the man in the castle
Swept right up into his ageing heart
Running out of the castle they made a song
Singing as they went along
They went along
