The South African Air Force Association

The South African Air Force Association (SAAFA) is a charitable organisation providing assistance and support to ex members of the South African Air Force. Membership is open to all persons having bona fide links with the Air Force.

Screenshot of FS98 SAAF HarvardThe Cape Town branch hold regular luncheons at the Officers' Mess, Air Force Base Ysterplaat, as well as organising and being involved in regular activities both locally and countrywide.

Mr Gordon Artz is currently President, with Vice President Mr Jack Ruck, and Secretary, Mrs Marlene Dreyer.

The South African Air Force Association have been extremely supportive of the Cape Records Anniversary initiative, and the President and Vice President are both members of the CRA Action Group. A third member of the Association who is involved with CRA is David Lithgow, who is also President of the Western Cape Region of the Royal Air Force Association.
