The Sun in our astrological lives represents our ego and life force

Just as  the  physical  sun  represents  the greatest    life-sustaining   force,    so,   in  astrology,  the   sun  personifies  our   life  force,  the  main   ego  focus  of  our lives  and  how  we  accomplish   what  we  set  out   to  do.   It   describes   basic   drives,  behaviour    patterns   and   the  kind   of  activities   we   prefer.

The moon in our astrological lives reveals our emotions and instincts

Science  acknowledges  the  physical effects of the moon on our planet earth, particularly on  water.  In astrology,  the moon  indicates feelings   and   emotional  needs:   how   we feel  about ourselves  and  how  we respond emotionally to  situations  and  experiences. (Some believe that in  men,  ego  frequently outweighs  emotional   needs,   whereas   in women, "feelings" are generally paramount. Perhaps  women's higher  water component is  responsible  for  this.)
