In Austria, all the silhouette shooting sports are managed by a single body: the Austrian Metallic Silhouette Association (Österreichischer Verband für Metall Silhouetten Schießen, AMSA). AMSA was found in 1989 and is a founding member of AETSM and IMSSU.

AMSA currently has 57 members.

Range Facilities :

There is one permanent 100 metre silhouette shooting range in Tattendorf and a 150 metre range in Leobersdorf (both in Lower Austria). A temporary 200 and 500 metre range is available at a  military shooting range in Bruckneudorf.

100 m Range in Tattendorf with 3 sets of Targets for Small Bore Pistol or Field Pistol and 3 sets of Targets for Small Bore Rifle.

150 m Range in Leobersdorf with 1 set of Big Bore Pistol Targets (Field Pistol Rams are set at 150 m).

The silhouette shooting season starts in March and closes in October.
