KUREDU RESORT
MY FIRST U\W PHOTOGRAPHIC
ADVENTURE
I had been diving for
about 7 years and had been involved in underwater videography,
a hobby that I enjoyed
but never quite seemed to take any further than the actual
shooting of the footage.
The editing part of video never quite grabbed my full attention
and as I progressed I
realised that a good video is created in the editing studio.
I turned my attention
to photography after a trip to Sipadan Island with
Borneo
Divers
and have not looked back.
My first attempt at underwater
photography was at Kuredu
Island in the Maldives.
I used a Subal
camera housing purchased from
Ocean Optics [UK]
I received the housing
in South Africa on the morning of my scheduled flight to Male
and I read the Subal instruction
manual and Martin Edge's new underwater photography
book in the plane!
Below is a selection of
slides from my first u\w photography experience
All photos were taken
with a Nikon F90X in a Subal housing.
Lenses: Nikon 105mm micro
2.8 and Nikon 20mm 2.8 [+4 dioptre]
Strobe: Sea&Sea YS120
duo.

equipment page.
