Startup Display Unit

The Startup Display Unit (SDU) is plugged into the Turbine Control Unit whilst the aircraft is on the ground, and is used to observe the status of your turbine during startup, pre-flight and shutdown.

The SDU is also used to program the various parameters for your motor into the TCU via a new menu driven stucture.

Should you experience a flame out during flight, the SDU can be plugged in afterwards to determine the cause of shutdown. The SDU can be used to initiate a start sequence as an alternate to using your R/C throttle.

Information displayed on the Startup Display Unit are:

Revs, Exhaust Gas Temperature, Voltage to pump, Battery voltage, startup/shutdown status, glow plug failure, shutdown source and AutoStart status.
