LONDON, Oct 4 (Reuter) - Former France flanker Alain Carminati was banned for 60 days after being sent off for Beziers in their 38-17 defeat at Gloucester in a European Conference rugby union match on Saturday.
Irish international referee Brian Stirling dismissed the Frenchman in the 55th minute, having issued three yellow cards to his team mates in the first half.
Carminati is no stranger to controversy, having been banned for six months in 1990 following his dismissal against Scotland for alleged stamping.
He is the fourth player from a French club to be sent off in the last three weeks in the European Conference.
