LONDON, Oct 2 (Reuter) - An appeal by Cardiff lock Tony Rees against a 90-day suspension for kicking Gareth Llewellyn of Harlequins in a European Cup match was turned down on Thursday.
The appeal meeting heard evidence from two representatives of Cardiff, the referee and one of the touch judges, and watched video footage of the incident.
But, after the hearing, a statement from the cup organisers said the penalty imposed on Rees would stand.
