Rugby union-Romania hit by injuries ahead of Latin Cup

BUCHAREST, Oct 10 (Reuter) - Injury-hit Romania had to name a squad of 27 on Friday for rugby union's Latin Cup to be played in southern France from October 18-26.

Romanian coach Mircea Paraschiv said at least eight of his players were injured, and the initial selection would be trimmed.

``I'm a bit worried as we have a lot of problems with the players' health. We can't present the final squad now. We will do it before our departure to France,'' Paraschiv said.

Romania's squad, including five players with French clubs, is expected to leave for the tournament next Tuesday.

They will meet Argentina, France and Italy in the round-robin tournament.
