WHO ARE WE ?

S.H.I.P. is a company that was formed to assist businesses in realising and rectifying problems in the workplace. Bad working conditions and management could lead to very bad production, whereas favourable working conditions and good management could mean good prosperity.

S.H.I.P. obtained accreditation from the Department of Labour in 1995 for training and consulting in all Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental issues, and could address all health, safety and environmental issues in your firm.

It is our policy to get personally involved with our clients, establishing the important partnership link, ensuring ongoing quality service and achievements in creating a happy workforce. In addition, most of our workshops and training sessions can be given in more than one of our official languages (i.e. Zulu & Sotho).

To give an unlimited quality of service in assisting the industry and others to develop an educated and trained workforce and legally protecting our clients as laid down under the auspices of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

HOW DO WE INTEND MEETING OUR OBJECTIVES?

By assisting companies to comply legally with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.

Comfort on the job is not a luxury; it is a sound economic sense. Formal studies and practical experience have proven that many factors in the industrial environmnt affect the performance of workers. The studies have proven where these factors are optimized, output per men - hour is maximized.

Effective protection against health and safety hazards, strains and irritation also contribute to the quality of work and to lower rates of absenteeism, sickness, industrial injury and premature retirement.

WHAT IS THE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT?

It is a self-regulating law laid down by the Government for all persons at work to comply with.
