We offer trade discounts to wholesale customers. Please enquire. Please list alternatives incase we are out of stock, otherwise let us know if you do not want to substitute. We also need the name of your nearest international airport for phytosanitary certificate purposes.
Some of the plants we sell are listed by Cites board as endangered species. Cycads, Euphorbias, Aloes, Pachypodium, and Anacampseros fall into this category. There is no problem ordering these plants, but we have to obtain a Cites permit for this type of flora and there is a $25 or £15-50 charge per certificate. (A number of genera may be entered on one certificate).
You will also in all probability require a phytosanitary certificate (Health certificate). If in doubt, check with your local customs. Most countries require these permits which takes up a lot of our time, arranging with our department of agriculture to get a clean bill of health. There is therefore a cost of $25 or £15-50 per certificate.
We only despatch orders once payment has been made.
Plants may be shipped by:
AIR PARCEL POST
This usually takes 10 to 14 days and plants do not deteriorate in this time.
AIR-FREIGHT
This usually takes about 5 days. Air-freight is recommended in the case of larger orders where time is a factor.
SURFACE
We would only ship by surface in the case of large or heavy plants where the weight makes air-freight too expensive.
FOREIGN ORDERS
The minimum foreign order we will accept is $150-00 U.S. This is on account of the high volume of administrative work.
CALCULATING AIR PARCEL POST AND PACKING
A rough guide is to add up the plant prices and then take 25% of the plant prices. This is not a hard and fast rule and it may be necessary to adjust the final figure in either direction.
HOW WE SEND PLANTS
Plants are sent bare root and have to be perfectly soil-free. This does not in any way affect re-growth and we have many happy customers who can vouch for this.
