    Natal Nipper Lifesaving Championships
    Warnadoone - 31 January/1 February 1998
    Pirates Surf Lifesaving Club Nippers did well and finished second overall in the recent Natal Surf Lifesaving Championships. Winners once again were the Durban Surf Team. Marine came third and Scottburgh fourth. Pirates won the under 10 section came fourth in the u12 section and second in the u14 age group.

    Sea conditions at Warnadoone proved to be very challenging for the nippers with strong washes and sandbanks to contend with. Many events were rescheduled as a result. The competition once again produced some outstanding performances from the young lifesavers. The full list of Pirates' Nippers who earned certificates is as follows: -
