This building is characterized by excessive vertical elements reaching upwards. The building is topped by numerous vertical piles ending at various levels forming a zigzag skyline to the passerby in the street. Painted in various pastel shades it is, however, a large and striking building. The street level shops contain a discount store and no deco atmosphere exists here. The entrance foyer to the offices above has been recently restyled in a Postmodern interpretation of Art Deco. Although the design is adventurous it ultimately fails. The colours chosen are dirty and the materials used are cheap.
