The five phase permanent magnet axial flux generator used in the KestreL600 hides some awesome power. The unit has a maximum verified output of 1.08 kW and been test run extensively delivering this power for many days. The generator is restricted merely by the blade system fitted and the shunt regulator to its current rating of 600 Watt.
