The COVE® range of chargers are state of the art microprocessor controlled thyristor chargers. A new generation of chargers designed and built for the new millennium. Reliable, proven power electronics and high quality component assemblies are used throughout the range to ensure best performance at all times. Touch keypad for user configurable microprocessor and ID Module for program protection are standard features. "B", "S" and "C" SERIES are available as "STAND ALONE" - "SUITES" - "WALL MOUNTED" and "MODULAR systems. Standard charger outputs range from 12VDC to 450VDC at 5A to 400A. Flexible system design facilitates customisation of application specific performance and output requirements. All COVE® chargers are custom built and fully user configurable. They are typically used in dc back-up systems, float and manual boost charging of battery banks for stand-by applications such as switch tripping, diesel generator starting, UPS battery charging, emergency lighting, just to mention a few. "B" SERIES (1 phase and 3 phase, 6 pulse) The "B" SERIES (B = Basic) is a cost-critical charger. Fully microprocessor controlled with dual outputs (Battery and Load). LED indications, comprehensive instrumentation and collective alarm contacts. "S" SERIES (1 phase and 3 phase, 6 or 12 pulse) The "S" SERIES (S = Standard) is fully microprocessor controlled with dual outputs (Battery and Load). Upgradable to "C" SERIES with on-line boost and/or equalise. Full operating statistics and on-board facility for battery cell supervision (64 cell). LED indications, comprehensive instrumentation and collective alarm contacts. "C" SERIES (1 phase and 3 phase, 6 or 12 pulse) The "C" SERIES (C = Communication) is fully microprocessor controlled with dual outputs (Battery and Load). It incorporates all the "B" and "S" SERIES features. Full multiplex communication capability with a standard or Notebook PC via RS 232 and RS 485 ports, for remote control, configuration and data transfer. May be integrated with SCADA systems. On-board facility for battery cell supervision (64 cell) expandable to 256 cell. Supplied standard with RS 232 ASCI terminal monitor/control mode. TECHNICAL SUPPORT COVE® chargers are manufactured to international standards and governed by strict quality control procedures. Each unit carries a conditional manufacturer's warranty and is fully supported by the factory or factory trained appointed sales and service agents. Only quality brand components are used to ensure maximum reliability. Comprehensive documentation is supplied with every charger. ANALOGUE CHARGERS COVE® also design and manufacture a full range of analogue chargers.

SPECIAL FEATURES All SERIES ("B" - "S" - "C") can be fully configured from the front accessible touch keypad. Configuration features include all voltages, current limits, charge modes, alarms, timers, auto/manual boost and equalise periods/cycles. Customised charging profiles can also be installed. Each charger is fitted with a unique ID Module to prevent tampering and unauthorised change of critical parameter and program settings. OPTIONS The "S" and "C" SERIES can be fitted with a binary controlled diode dropper to allow on-line auto/manual boost. The same option is also available for equalise mode. Other options include auto load-shed, auto bleed, full remote control, battery/environmental monitoring and any other customer specific requirements. | |
