1. Straining Posts
1.1 POSTS: 100mm diameter x 2mm wall thickness or 76mm a 2mm thick. (Refer to above table for relationship between post diameter and fence height). The post is predrilled to accommodate line wires, barbed wires and stay bolts. Steel caps are welded to the tops of the posts. Various configurations are available as detailed.
1.2 STAYS: 60mm diameter a 2mm wall thickness or 48mm x 2mm thick. (Refer to above table for relationship between stay diameter and fence height). The steel tube is flattened, curved and predrilled for stay bolt to accommodate the 45° fixing angle. Stays are secured to the post at 1/3 of the mesh height from the top.
1.3 SPACING: Straining posts are spaced at maximum 90 metre centres.
2. Intermediate Posts (Standards)
1.1 TUBULAR POST: 60mm diameter x 2mm wall thickness or 48mm x 2mm thick (Refer to above table for relationship between post diameter and fence height). The steel caps are welded to the top of the posts. Various configurations are available as detailed opposite.
1.2 Y-SECTION ALTERNATIVE: Iscor Y-section standards can be used as an alternative to tubular steel standards. Where required 450 x 225 x 6mm thick steel overhangs are welded to the top of the standards forming the security apron as detailed above.
1.2 SPACING: Intermediate posts are spaced at a maximum of 3.5 metre centres.
3. Finish
All tubular steel components are hot dip galvanised after manufacture to SABS 763 of 1977. and remain unpainted. Y-section standards are generally pre-painted but can be painted or hot dip galvanised.
4. Concrete Bases
3.1 STRAINING POSTS 450 x 450 x 600mm deep. 3.2 STAYS: 400 x 600 x 400mm deep. 3.3 INTERMEDIATE POSTS: 300 x 300 x 400mm deep.(excluding Y-sections)

5. Choice of Mesh Cover
Chainlink (Diamond) Mesh or Welded Mesh specifications are available.
6. Barbed Wire
Three strands of barbed wire are fixed with tie wire to the extension arms.
7. Gates
Standard Alcape Fencing security gates, bar gates and ornamental gates can be included in this system. Refer to the various applicable specification leaflets under Security Gates and Bar Gates of this catalogue.
