1. Bar Panel
1.1 FRAMES: The frames are manufactured from 50mm x 25mm rectangular section with a 2mm wall thickness.
1.2 BARS: The bars are manufactured from round tube with a 2mm wall thickness welded at 150mm intervals. For bar diam see below table.
1.3 COMB: 32mm high razor comb is welded on top of the panel where applicable.
1.3 WIDTH: Panel width is 2230mm (including fittings).
1.4 FITTINGS: Mild steel T-section is welded to the open ends of the horizontal sections to form an integral part of the panel. The T-section is slotted to accommodate the fixing bolts to allow some adjustment..
2. Supports
2.1 POST: The posts are manufactured from steel tube with a 2mm wall thickness.
2.2 BASES: Posts are set in 15MPa concrete bases cats in situ. For base size see below table.
3. Finish
All steel components are hot dip galvanised after manufacture to SABS 763 of 1977.
4. Installation
The panels are secured between the posts by means of galvanised or stainless steel brackets and bolts.
