Using a high quality Davis wind vain and anemometer the iWeathar System module links up to a cell phone type modem that sends the wind condition data real-time to the internet. This allows for easy extraction of data and comparisons to be done online. What makes this unit so unique is that it is completely wireless, no electrical power, no phone lines and no high maintenance costs are required.
All that is needed is cellular phone coverage and a SIM card which is enabled for gprs data from any selected cellular provider.
The unit comes complete with a 10W Solar Panel, 12V 7A battery which is able to last up to one week without any sun-shine. This is due to the low power consumption required to run the unit. |

This Wind Talker was installed on the roof of the Club House at Worcester Airfield. It was installed to test the operation of the system before we started with the roll out of the remote sites. It is a complete stand alone system.
It is made up of a Davis anemometer and wind vane, that feeds the information into micro computer. The system is connected to the www via an internal GSM modem. Power is from the solar panel with a battery that will keep the system powered for 5 days with no sun.
Every three minutes the information is updated, this is important to study the trend over a period of time. |

This is a view of the inside of the unit.
It is made up of a Micro Computer that reads the pulses from the Davis Anemometer. This information is processed
and passed on to the server by the GSM modem.
The unit has an internal battery that can keep it operational for 3 days with no sun.
Larger battery's have worked up to 6 days with no solar panel connected. .
